here in the united states and what's happening with the fiscal cliff. it's worth noting today as we wait of course on monday for the pricing of the greek debt buyback from loans for the rest of the european union that the german lower house of parliament, german lawmakers today pass the greek bail out. it was always going to go through. you knew it would go through because the opposition will vote in favor of it but the chancellor angela merkel didn't get a majority within her coalition, 23 lawmakers there opposing. it's interesting also that the german finance minister, you know, if greece defaults that ultimately will collapse the euro. it was under that threat they were voting today. incidentally just on the pricing of that debt buyback from monday the indication seems to be it will go through relatively successfully targeting 6.8 billion euros it would appear at face value. partly it will go through because of so many state controlled lenders connected to the buy back particularly the greek banks sitting on a huge amount. we'll talk about that at the beginning of next week. in the meantime as i mentioned, as carl mentioned the stock markets continue to do well in europe. the top 50 blue chips, this is actually the top 6

even europe's pmi improves a touch in november. first up, we're one month away from the fiscal cliff and so far the white house and congressional republicans are still in disagreement over how to reduce the deficit and avoid a raft of tax hikes and spending cuts. yesterday our own jim cramer and maria bartiromo were on "meet the press" and cramer had a message for fellow panelists and father of the anti-tax pledge, grover norquist. >> most ceos are republican. they're on board. they're not on board with you. they're not on board with you because they fear your view. they think you do not favor going -- you favor going over the cliff. that's what they think. they think that you favor -- >> just for the record since we're on tv. that's silly if they think that they shouldn't be ceos. >> it doesn't really matter. that's what they think. >> i want you to walk me up to that moment. >> behind the record. i like that too. >> i'm stuck. like grover is stuck with this pledge he made everybody take which is that they have to go over the cliff because they obviously will not ever say the word tax. they will only say revenue.
